Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sliderstock emerged as a powerful solution for charities and local businesses to continue reaching their funding goals despite challenging times. What began as a response to an urgent need quickly grew into a versatile online platform that has since become integral to events across the country.  

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate four impactful years of Sliderstock and look back on how this journey began, where we are now, and what the future holds. 

 

A Vision Born Out of Necessity 

Sliderstock’s story began in partnership with Impulse Decisions, with our initial project, "Shop Local." This campaign provided a much-needed digital marketplace to support independent businesses in Harrogate, helping them stay connected with customers online. Through Shop Local, businesses could sell their products in a virtual space while consumers shopped locally—safely and conveniently. This marked Sliderstock’s early steps toward becoming a go-to resource for online fundraising.

This year, we were excited to announce several new features designed to further enhance the user experience and elevate fundraising potential:

  • Enhanced Security: Additional security measures to protect transactions and provide peace of mind. 

  • Ticketing Function: An easy-to-use ticketing option that lets event organizers manage entry sales effortlessly. 

  • Optional Service Charge: This customizable option allows charities to maximize revenue while giving supporters greater transparency. 

  • Live Auction Tab: Enabling live auctions that captivate audiences and drive excitement. 

  • Sponsor Pages: Dedicated pages to showcase and thank sponsors, fostering relationships and potential future support.

Over the past four years, Sliderstock has helped raise over £3.5 million for a diverse range of causes. From large charities to smaller organisations, we’re proud of the role we’ve played in supporting so many impactful missions.
